what a great day it is
February 3, 2008I’m having a great weekend! Life is good. I’m happy!
Several things are making me quite delighted this weekend.
First, I joined eHarmony. Yes, go ahead and laugh. When you’re done chuckling, come back and read the rest.
Go ahead. I’ll wait.
And I’ll wait til you’re done your lecture on serial killers too.
Ok. Done?
Yeah, so I decided to join, on a whim, about two weeks ago.
I’m tired of being alone. My marriage is over.
So I’ve been corresponding with a nice sounding man through the site. I haven’t met him yet, but I’d like to — I’d hate to talk forever, then meet and one of us finds something they can’t stand about the other. That would be awkward. Better to meet soon (since we’ve talked for a week or so) I know, in a public place. In broad daylight. And let everyone know where I am in case I disappear. My mama didn’t raise no fool. I like to think I have half a brain cell in my noggin.
So, wish me well with this endeavor. He seems really nice, I do hope we click.
And I also had a great day yesterday with my best friend. I headed to her house at 9:30 AM to take her daughter to dance class. We then did some shopping together, got the kid, went back to her house and she did my taxes and we talked for hours. It was very fun and I had a great time with her.
Remember how I griped about “what if” with my new job? Yeah, well that was stupid because I like it. And, bonus, I have now discovered places to go that I never knew about because I never took that route! Case in point, I went to Barnes & Noble AND Starbucks today with my son. I have pined over Borders and Barnes & Noble for years, wished fervently that they’d build one near to my house. And lo and behold – there it was – but I never knew! I picked up three brit XS magazines today, I’m in heaven~! And after tax refund, I’m going back to get some books I saw that look delightful.
So all around, I’m having a really good weekend – I hope you are as well. If you’re a football fan, enjoy the Superbowl. I’ll probably read the rest of my book (Falling) and be cleaning my house, although I WILL try to catch the ads!

I think it’s wonderful that you joined E-harmony. Just take it slow, have fun!
Hi – your post rang bells for me. I met my partner online, we were doing the same course, and we fell in love. My marriage had been over for years but neither of us was prepared to admit it.
We’ve been together almost 4 years and living together almost a year. I was 47 when I met him. Good luck, take your time, there’s no rush
