tampon/pad holder tutorial
December 23, 2008So I’m browsing some sites online and find a tissue holder thing — I’ve been wanting to make one of those, just to see if I could. They look so easy (and they ARE, I made some)

I’m not a big tissue user (those little packs that go in your purse) but what the heck. I’ll use it anyhow because I love it.
So that got me thinking, what ELSE could I make along those lines. And I thought … hmmm, a tampon holder!
Yeah yeah, most of us just toss them in our purses, and heck, I even have one of those hard plastic cases that hold a few, but this one is MUCH cuter. Now mind you, my daughter told me NO ONE would want to carry their tampons in an M&M case, but I digress, I WILL carry them in that.
So without further ado – my tutorial:
Cut out two pieces of fabric (I used about 6.5 x 7″, you may want to do your own measuring to make sure they fit)
I ironed them, and with right sides together, stitched about 1/4″ all around, leaving a bit open for turning.

turn right side out and iron
Fold up enough to cover almost all of the tampons, (make sure to stitch RIGHT SIDES together!)

When done with that, turn right side out, and either use velcro, snaps or buttons if you’re so inclined, to close the holder. Voila, wasn’t that easy?
Mine holds four tampons and a pad.
